1000 Pakistani ready to Break the “World’s Largest Painting” Guinness World Record on 23rd March 2012

world's largest paintingOn this biggest day in the history of Pakistan, the 23rd March, Master Paints will be attempting to break the Guinness World Record for the “world’s largest painting”. They are doing this because they want to reignite the spirit of Pakistani people so that everyone can remember how on the 23rd of March 1940, a nation was conceived. The event will be held at National Stadium Lahore.

The existing world record is the largest painting by numbers 3,130.55 M² (33,696 FT² 138.2 IN²) which was made by Ecole de Dessin in Logos state, Nigeria, on 17 November 2010 in celebration of the Guinness world Records day 2010.

The painting measured 63.5m (208 ft 3.99 in) x 49.3m (161 ft 8.94 in) was created by 350 volunteers and represents the map of Nigeria, the logo of350.org in the middle of the map, the flag of Nigeria (green, white, green) which was painted around the map.

The big event is scheduled to start at 9:00 till 4:00. The event will be starring 1000 students from almost 50 institutions setup in 200 teams. They will be painting 200 canvases of 200 SQFT. Once completed all these would be joined to make on big canvas that will show the map of Pakistan.
